Everyone join me in congratulating one of our own, Kelter Skelter, who has just entered into the holy bonds of matrimony!
GrandLAN seems to be a good fit. Plenty of room, just enough privacy, creepy haunted house attached.
We’ll be posting the full brackets for the first Michigan Power Glove Tournament very soon, but before that, I’d like to thank a few very specific people for their contributions to making the organizational side a success:
Aaron “CommanderofYomi” Frankhouse, that wildest of Tagers, for being an awesome partner and holding it down in BlazBlue;
Eric “LazarusReturns” Frankhouse for sparking this whole thing in the first place, for excellent beer, and for tiny plastic Blanka;
James “Yojimbo” Harris, for being the workhorse of MPGT and representing Jax all the way to third place;
Ian “Epic Vandal” White, for holding down the brackets, the dopest hipster sandwich ever, and being an all around great guy;
Matt “Slappy” Meade, founder and High Grand Poobah of GRAPSF.com for making the stream a reality and lending his support;
Brandon “Swifty McQuik” Poeder for the set up assistance, bracket assistance, and incredible shirt.
Thanks go out to all the players, and to GrandLAN for being an incredible venue and to Gamerati.com for being an incredible source of random connections, toys, and Founders Beer. Thanks to everyone who attended, and to everyone else: we’ll see you next time!

For the first time, grapsf.com met at Gamer Doc. Since we are bringing our own equipment now the cost to play was just $5 a day. Hopefully the new low price of gatherings will mean an increase in attendance, seems to be working so far judging by the great turnout we had Saturday!
The venue is great with the exception of some drunk guy touching my girlfriend and creeping her out. But I have alerted the staff that there will be a public beating next time so hopefully they deal with him.
Also painfully obvious was the fact that most of us would like to stay later than 9pm, hopefully they can do something for us there. I would hate to stop playing here just on account of that one thing.
Had a lot of fun playing at Mr. Baggs place, and even got to see some faces from the past make an appearance in the form of Kheel and Professor!
Looks like all in all we will have enough for 2 x-boxes to go with our 2 monitors!
Our third fundraiser took place at Cake’s house this past Saturday and we pulled in a record $257 this time! The second Evo monitor we purchased made it’s debut, and the next two buys will probably be consoles. We’re almost there!
Thanks to everyone who attended, especially Cake and Hotsauce for hosting at their pad, and the people I’ve never met for coming out of the woodwork, including one who came all the way from Toledo.
We had a new Gief show up, and Dro made an appearance with his Gief. So counting mine, the air was thick with Russian Wrestling that night.
Also while it isn’t 100% yet, all signs point to that being the last time we get to see Kage as he may have to move soon. Glad he got to play instead of just running the venue’s register for a change!
Our second fundraiser was great. It was hot with no AC but we still had a good time (except Holden). Thanks for hosting Kelter!
The first Evo monitor we bought made it’s debut, we got down with some Tekken, shared some brews, watched Holden get salty; it was a great event!
We raised about $200 this time, towards purchasing our own equipment (which means cheaper venues in the future). Way to go guys!
